Why hasn't Cathy blogged for so long???
We've been busy doing things and taking photos to share on the blog of course!
Back on October 19th, Cathy celebrated another birthday. The Premier of Victoria and the Health Minister came along to celebrate and open a new 20 bed Special Care Nursery for her at Casey Hospital.
After that, it was a birthday dinner at Enzos with the family.
Two days later was the staff celebration of the SCN opening complete with Monash Children's hats for fun!!
Next, she directed an APLS (Advanced Paedaitric life Support) Course for 3 days at Casey Hospital.
By Cup weekend, we were in Sydney to help celebrate the 40th birthday of Chris, one of Cathy's brothers. We forgot to take a photo until the next morning so if Chris still looks like he's in his PJ's, that might just be the case!!
Soon it was the end of year dinner for Monash University Paediatric tutors. Cathy was delighted to catch up with 3 of the professors who have inspired her in paediatrics - Mick Adamson, Arthur Clark and Bob McMahon.
David was driving his fellow paragliders around so we got out of town for the weekend. From Beaufort to Apollo Bay to Moggs Creek, we covered some miles and enjoyed some sunshine. Cathy enjoyed lunch with her parents at Apollo Bay then wandered on the beach.
The annual Womens' and Children's program dinner is always an occasion for celebration and an opportunity to get a photo of the Dandenong Paediatricians with and without funny hats. Here is the sensible shot.
