Derby races

Today was the first of the local race days in Derby with Mad Hatters day.

Cathy met up with Emma, an entrant in the Boab Queen competition, who was judging the Mad Hats.

There was plenty of competition in the Best Hat competition.

but the winners were the boat girls

There were the horses..

and the bookies in the betting ring

then there were the races

Andrew and Fong from Boab Pharmacy were sponsors and shared their table with us. It was a fun afternoon with friends.
