Charlotte's Pass, Rainbow lake and other cold places

A short walk along the edge of Lake Jindabyne, revealed an interesting seat. It was cold and blowy as we ventured up Charlotte's Pass. We were being blown over as we tried to take photos.

We managed a walk to Rainbow Lake and made a coffee at Perisher but the pace was deserted. With a smooth road downhill, Cathy dropped David and his bike off at Perisher and left him to race downhill.

He had great fun!

Next we had to warm up at Wild Brumby Distillery where they specialise in Schnapps. Cathy has a new favorite drink - Ginger beer with Devil's tongue Schnapps. It's the little bit of chilli that spices it up.

We headed on to Thredbo for a couple of nights. Not easy to find a hotel open - as it is their quiet month - but we found Denman Hotel and snuggled into our little room with a balcony. Dinner at Cascades was delicious wiht our lovely waitress Wiki. David thought she must know everything (think Wikipedia!!)
