Tour de Tassie - Part 1
Curt's Ford Everest was fully loaded with bikes, food, the espresso machine and four keen cyclists. We managed to get onto the Spirit of Tasmania with the minimum of fuss.
In fact we were so early, we had pre-dinner drinks and started eating before the ship left. A small rolling swell after a few beers and I was asleep.
After disembarking in Devonport, we stopped at the Raspberry Farm, Christmas Hills for breakfast.
We diverted into the heritage town of Ross for coffee and cake. We found our labelled parking place.
With the weather forecast looking very grim, we decided to head up Mt Wellington.
It was cold and cloudy at the top but at least it was dry. Curt ranked the descent as "One of the Best". Colin said "Worst descent he's ever done". It's going to be an interesting trip....
