Early Days to Broome
Lot's of packing to finish on Sunday morning - including loading the bikes AFTER I move the trailer through the garage. You can't be too careful when you are trying to think of everything. Of course, I left a few things behind. Luckily, Cathy has started a list and can bring a few things with her.
Of course, it was dizzly rain - a typical Melbourne Good-Bye.
I drove past Seppelt's Great Western Winery. Rumour has it, that there are goats living in the tunnels underneath. Believe it or NOT.
I set up camp in the new Big4 Caravan Park at the Bend. I didn't have time to check out the new Motorsport track because I had to go shopping - to buy food to cook to replace the things I left behind :( An amazing senset all the same (viewed from the Camp Kitchen.
Very cold, not freezing but it must have been close. I ran out of blankets. Or more precisely, it was too cold to get out and search for the last blanket.
Lunch was at the Australian Arid Garden at Port Augusta. If you want to know what it looks like, ask Cathy. Last time we were here so took about 200 photos in 3 hours. Most are on the blog somewhere. (I'll add a link later)
A great view from the lookout. I ate my usual travelling lunch - Helga's bread, hot salami and cheese.
Tomorrow, I'm having something different!!! I need a new usual.
I arrived in Woomera with 20 minutes for a quick ride. Then time for camp setup, dinner and sleep.
I'll be in the internet desert for a couple of days. More updates when I get to Alice Springs.
