Thursday 18th April – exploring the romantic streets of Bruges with 10000 other tourists!

We learned quickly today, that we should have been up early to queue instead of lazing around in the sun having breakfast.

We wandered the streets finding a chocolate shop (actually 100’s of them). Luckily they had chocolate pills to treat any ailment required. We had a peep inside one of the cathedrals and decided to come back for a harp recital this evening.

We took countless photos of delightful old buildings and each other. Oh and chocolate shoes!

Alaok got into the act too at the Torture museum where Serena stocked up for awhile.

We enjoyed lunch in the sun then grabbed a place in the canal boat queue whilst everyone else was having their lunchbreak. The view from the canal and commentary in 3 languages was just perfect. Afternoon siesta time is a must for these intrepid travelers.
