Monday 10th June - All Aboard the cruise ship

We awoke to a gorgeous sunny day in Vancouver and enjoyed a delicious breakfast in the Gold lounge at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel.  Cathy had earned it with her 10.5km run along the seawall and part way around Stanley Park.  David too, had been for a long walk.  After packing up and storing our baggage, we took the opportunity to venture up the Vancouver Lookout tower and gaze over the city.

 

We planned lots of interesting sites to visit when we return.  Going through US immigration and customs was not so bad as we kept meeting more of our friends from Australia in the various queues.  Finally we were on board and found our stateroom – complete with balcony.

 

Princess Lines have learnt a lot from the Titanic – the first thing after boarding is a safety drill. David had special training just in case he was stuck next to Cathy for any length of time.

We explored some of the ship’s facilities before the conference began with a networking session and drinks.
