Around the Bay

It was windy (all the way) and wet (some of the way). A huge thanks to Luke - who kept me going when laying on the beach with a beer seemed like a *much* better idea. I might even try again next year.

Another lovely Spring day.....

Cathy has worked the last 2 weekends and was at a conference in Melbourne this weekend, but the garden has looked after itself. Every morning and evening, she checks the garden to see what is flowering. She couldn't resist sharing these pictures.

One of her favorites is the double headed tulip.

Thanks to daylight saving, she was able to enjoy the last of the Sunday sun lazing in the hammock in the backyard. (We'll have to put up a picture of that another day!)
There has been great excitement with the visit of the Premier and Minister for Health to Monash last Friday to announce the funding to build the new Monash Children's Hospital building.

Tip-toe through the tulips!

I was worried that our tulips would be just like the daffodils - all leaf and no flowers. I was delighted over the past week to see them bloom at last. I expect the neighbours have enjoyed them too.
