Melbourne Marathon

Cathy at sunrise before the Melbourne Marathon. Running a full marathon seemed too much but Cathy has trained for the half marathon over recent months.

And all that training paid off today.

"I would have been happy with anything under 2 hours but I managed 1:53:01 for the 21.1 km." David was chief supporter and photographer and provided Coke at 15km to get through the last 6 km. A big blister was the only injury. Here are some pictures that show me running with 7700 of my best mates and admiring the medal I got!

I also got a very sore foot. :(

Irish Visitors

The WA Police finally let the bird murderers out of jail and deported them to Victoria. We hid them away in the back room but they decided they'd risk a trip on the Ferris Wheel followed by some great AFL action - Geelong Cats vs Western Bulldogs.

A great time was had by all and we learnt to eat our "greens" (usually known as "Heineken" to Aussies).

Our Final Track and Flight Home

We flew home from Perth while the Troopy made the long journey on the back of a truck. Everything made it safely home.
